   JB Log Homes - Making Building Process Easier  

 

Material Characteristics

    All logs are graded by Certified Graders in accordance to the National Association of Home Builders, Log Home Council Cabin Grade material guidelines. These logs are tongue and groove, pre-cut, numbered and coded to correspond with the Construction Blue Prints provided. 6”x8” Logs are fastened together using 12” Lags, provided. All necessary foam gaskets, caulking, foam sealant and weather stripping is included.

Some manufacturing standards minimizing on-site labor:

  • Precut logs

  • Precut log gables

  • Precut heavy timber trusses

  • Precut heavy timber rafters

  • Precut roof purlins

  • Prebuilt roof trusses when applicable

  • Predrilled logs for lag bolts

  • Precut splines and spline slots

  • Precut butt and pass corners

  • Precut dovetail corners

  • Reverse stacking of log bundles

Conststruction Workshops

 You're invited to a 2 day visit to Discover Kuhns Bros., your way. Your tour begins at Kuhns Bros. International Headquarters in Milton, Pennsylvania, where you will meet the staff and be introduced to Kuhns Bros. extensive offering of products and services designed to fulfill all your log home building needs. Then you will take a scenic drive to our 135 acre manufacturing facility in Lewisburg, PA and view the entire manufacturing facility in Lewisburg, PA and view the entire manufacturing process. Work hand in hand with technical instructors while you learn the nuts and bolts of log construction and build an actual log structure.
